Releasing Thwackers

N00B_JinxSo now we actually had a show, time to release it to the world.  What did we learn?  People on the internet are mean, but when one stranger says a nice thing it outweighs all the assholes.  Also, there are a ton of web series out there – a lot of bad ones – and it’s tough to get people to sit down and give away 8 minutes of their life.  Welcome to the internet n00b.

To add to it all, we hadn’t been able to schedule the last rehearsal we wanted for this episode.  Basically we had our work cut out for us.

Shooting Thwackers Day 2 & 3

InstantViralVideoPart of our production plan was to give ourselves much more time than we had on the pilot.  We figured an episode a day was doable but we also wanted to shoot some promos.  Our plan was to release the promos a few weeks in advance to try to score some viral marketing.  So we started day 2 with these promos, but it was a rough start.  The first promo was something I wrote and really liked but we haven't released.  There’s a ton of dialogue and I didn’t get a chance to rehearse any of it with the actress.  And let me just reiterate that she had a lot of dialogue.
